Daily Tilt — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026 · Applies to the Daily Tilt app (com.dailytilt.app) and the Daily Tilt website.

Daily Tilt is a daily puzzle game. We collect as little as the game needs to work. This policy explains what is collected, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

DataWhyWhere it lives
A random player ID (generated on first launch — not your name, email, or a device serial number) Saving your solves, streaks, votes, and unlocks so they survive reinstalls and appear on leaderboards On your device and on our game server
The display name you choose (optional) Shown next to your scores on leaderboards On our game server
Gameplay records (levels solved, move sequences, solve times, modifier votes) Verifying solves, ranking leaderboards, and letting the community's votes shape the next day's puzzle On your device and on our game server
Google Play Games profile (Android, only if you choose to sign in) Cross-device sync and verified leaderboard entries Handled by Google; we store the resulting player identity
Apple Game Center profile (iOS, only if you choose to sign in) Cross-device sync and verified leaderboard entries Handled by Apple; we store the resulting player identity
A push notification token (only if you turn on the daily reminder) Sending the one "today's puzzle is live" notification On our game server and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging
Purchase state for Daily Tilt Plus Unlocking what you bought, and restoring it on a new device Google Play or the App Store processes the payment; we store only "this player owns Plus"

Advertising

The free version shows rewarded ads (which you choose to watch) provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) and usage signals to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation in your device's Google settings. Buying Daily Tilt Plus removes all advertising, and with it the AdMob SDK's ad requests.

What we do NOT collect

Children

Daily Tilt is a general-audience puzzle game with no chat, no free-text input visible to others except your chosen leaderboard display name, and no content unsuitable for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the random player ID is not tied to a real-world identity. Ads are served through Google AdMob configured for family-safe, non-personalised delivery where required by law (e.g. for users under the applicable age of digital consent).

Data retention & deletion

Gameplay records are kept while your player ID remains active. To delete your data, email us the display name and approximate dates you played from support@kirstensander.com, or simply uninstall the app — a fresh install starts with a brand-new random ID that has no link to the old one. Server-side records tied to an inactive player ID are removed after 24 months.

Security

All traffic between the app and our server uses HTTPS. Leaderboard writes are verified server-side (the server replays your move sequence) so tampering with clients cannot corrupt other players' data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to processing. Contact us and we will honour these requests for the data we hold.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above changes and the new version is published at this same address before it takes effect.
